About Us 

Welcome! The New York City Art Models Guild is an association of professional art models working in the NYC metro area. True posers for various categories of creators in the visual arts of drawing, painting, sculpting, fashion, illustration, animation and photography, our models bring magic and inspiration to whatever environment we step into. We offer this  site as a hub of information for art models, educators and artists who need to understand and implement the standards and protocols by which to conduct sessions using a live model. Explore the tabs to inform and educate yourself, employers and colleagues on Industry Standard, T.A.M,E., Drawing Sessions, and Membership.The documents are downloadable for ease of distribution or posting in the workplace. The NYC AMG began in 2023 to uphold dignity, respect, proper working conditions and living wages in our workplaces. We also like to have fun. Model Requests

If you'd like to request a model from the NYC Art Models Guild roster for a live session please send your request to hello@nycartmodelsguild.org and provide the following details: Indicate whether you need a male or female art model or if you have no preference. 

Date/ Time/ Nature of Pose ie Clothed Life Costume Fitting or  Photography/ Duration/ Location/ Nearest Transportation/ Your Rate of Pay. Terms and Conditions: Please note that the minimum rate is $30 per hour with a 3 hour minimum.Rates are to be paid in advance. Cancellations on your part will result in the model booked being paid in full if a reschedule is not possible. 

How can I book a model?

Please send your booking request to hello@nycartmodelsguild.org a minimum of a ten days in advance of your date. This gives you the best chance of getting a figure model. Models availability fluctuate with the seasons. Thank you.
